The team of Don Reno and Red Smiley rank as one of the all-time greats in the history of bluegrass and traditional country music. Their songs, harmonies, instrumentation, showmanship and recordings remain legendary to all who are acquainted with their work. After a mutual parting of ways in 1964, the duo reunited briefly in the early 70’s. Their 1971 Rome album “Together Again” marked their first recording together in seven years. Sadly, it would also be one of their last, as Red Smiley would pass away just a few months later at the tender age of 47. Rebel Records reintroduces this historical album, newly remixed and re-mastered. It features a 36- page booklet with many rare photos and a comprehensive essay by Grand Ole Opry announcer Eddie Stubbs.
